What Founders Want

Who took the survey

The gender split of participating founding teams

12% of participants were from all-female founding teams.

34% of participants were from mixed-gender founding teams.

Whilst this gives us a good gender split, this is not representative of the current funding market, which is far more male-dominated.

It’s also worth noting that we did not ask the gender of the person answering the survey, meaning the responses in the mixed-gender category could have been given by a person of any gender. The assumption here is that founding teams will have a shared vision for what they’re looking for in a venture fund.
